RACE REPORT - MXGP of Great Britain, Matterley Basin
Seewer beendet das letzte Rennen der Saison auf dem 2.Platz der MXGP-Gesamtwertung.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot holte sich bei der 19. und letzten Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft in Matterley Basin, Großbritannien, seine siebte Silbermedaille auf dem Podium. Der Schweizer, der sich vor einer Woche die Bronzemedaille in der MXGP-Gesamtwertung sicherte, genoss die letzte Runde des Jahres 2023 und belegte mit 2:4 den zweiten Platz im Tagesklassement.
ERSTES RENNEN:
Der letzte Renntag der Saison 2023 beginnt für Seewer ausgezeichnet
Die Nr.»91» kam gut aus dem Gatter und sicherte sich direkt Position Vier.
Die Strecke hatte es in sich, der rutschige Untergrund, starker Wind und tückische Spurrillen forderten die Fahrer besonders heraus. Die Spitze lang sehr nahe beieinander und forderte sich gegenseitig heraus, ganz zum erfreuen der Zuschauer. Jeremy fand seinen Rhythmus und fuhr souverän Runde für Runde. In der Hälfte des Renens stürzte Prado, zu Gunsten von Seewer, da er so einen Platz gutmachen konnte.
Ein spannendes Katz und Maus Spiel lieferten sich Gajser und Coldenhoff an der Spitze.
Seewer musste nur Geduld haben um aus der Situation profitieren zu können. Als Gajser die Führung übernahm, kam Coldenhoff komplett aus dem Rhythmus. Seewers unglaubliche Geschwindigkeit, seine Ausdauer und seine strategischen Entscheidungen führten dazu, dass er sich in der zweit letzten Runde an seinem Teamkollegen vorbei auf den zweiten Platz schoben konnte.
ZWEITES RENNEN:
Zum Auftakt des letzten Rennens der Saison 2023, kam Seewer gut aus dem Gatter und befand sich nach der ersten Kurve, auf der fünften Position.
Noch in Runde eins gelang es ihm einen Platz gut zu machen und nahm die Verfolgung zu Fernandez auf. Nur knapp eine Runde später gelang es der «91» den Spanier zu überholen.
Der Schweizer bot den Fans ein spektakuläres Rennen, als er auf seinem Weg zum zweiten Platz sich mit Romain Febvre einen spannenden Kampf lieferte. Seewer verlor einen Platz an die Nr.3 und überquerte die Zielline auf der 4.Position.

NÄCHSTER EVENT:
Nur noch ein Datum gilt es für die Fans dick zu markieren in der Saison 2023 und zwar der 08.10.2023 für das MXON in Ernée.
Wo das Schweizer super Trio, Seewer, Guillod und Tonus an den Start gehen wird, um die Schweiz stolz zu machen. Undbedingt vorbei kommen und fleissig mitfiebern und anfeuern.
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Heute war ein guter Tag. Ich bin froh, dass ich zwei solide Rennen hatte. Ich hatte gestern einen Sturz, bei dem ich mir eine Schnittwunde am Ellbogen zugezogen habe, die von einem Sturz am letzten Wochenende herrührt, und bin ziemlich hart auf den Boden aufgeschlagen, also dachte ich, dass es heute sehr hart für mich werden würde. Heute war es nicht einfach. Ich wollte einfach nur überleben, und das ist mir wirklich gut gelungen. Es war schade, dass ich am Ende des zweiten Rennens den dritten Platz verloren habe, aber das war für die Gesamtwertung nicht wichtig. Ich bin froh, dass ich dieses Jahr gut abschließen konnte, und freue mich jetzt auf 'The Nations'."
Seewer finishes the last race of the season in 2nd place in the overall MXGP standings.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider took his seventh silver medal on the podium at the 19th and final round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Matterley Basin, Great Britain. The Swiss rider, who secured the bronze medal in the overall MXGP standings a week ago, enjoyed the final round of 2023, finishing second in the day's standings at 2-4.
RACE ONE:
The last race day of the 2023 season got off to an excellent start for Seewer.
No. "91" came out of the gate well and secured position four straight away. The track had it all, the slippery surface, strong wind and treacherous ruts particularly challenged the drivers. The front runners were very close to each other and challenged each other, much to the delight of the spectators.
Jeremy found his rhythm and drove confidently lap after lap. In the middle of the race Prado crashed, in favor of Seewer, as he could make up one place. An exciting game of cat and mouse was played out between Gajser and Coldenhoff at the front. Seewer just had to be patient to take advantage of the situation.
When Gajser took the lead, Coldenhoff completely lost his rhythm. Seewer's incredible speed, stamina and strategic decisions meant that he was able to push past his teammate for second place on the second last lap.
RACE TWO: At the start of the last race of the 2023 season, Seewer came out of the gate well and was in fifth position after the first turn. Still in lap one he managed to make up one place and took up the pursuit to Fernandez. Just under a lap later, the "91" managed to overtake the Spaniard.
The Swiss offered the fans a spectacular race as he engaged in a thrilling battle with Romain Febvre on his way to second place. Seewer lost a place to the No.3 and crossed the finish line in 4th position.
STANDINGS: Congratulations again for the 3rd overall place in the MXGP World Championship 2023!
NEXT EVENT:
There is only one date left for the fans to mark thickly in the 2023 season and that is 08.10.2023 for the MXON in Ernée.
Where the Swiss super trio, Seewer, Guillod and Tonus will go to the start,
to make Switzerland proud. And be sure to come by and diligently cheer along and cheer.
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Today was a good day. I'm glad I had two solid races. I had a crash yesterday where I got a cut on my elbow from a crash last weekend and hit the ground pretty hard, so I thought it was going to be very tough for me today. Today was not easy. I just wanted to survive, and I did really well. It was a shame that I lost third place at the end of the second race, but that wasn't important for the overall standings. I'm glad I was able to finish this year well, and now I'm looking forward to 'The Nations'."
