RACE REPORT - MXGP of Czech Republic, Loket
Seewer holt sich in Loket die Bronzemedaille.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot zeigte bei der 12. Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft im Tschechischen Loket eine beeindruckende Leistung. Mit dem 2.Rang aus dem ersten Lauf und dem dritten Platz aus dem zweiten Lauf, sicherte sich Jeremy den 3.Gesamtrang.
ERSTES RENNEN:
Seewer kämpfte mit den heißen, trockenen und rutschigen Bedingungen auf der steilen Bergstrecke von Loket und zeigte eine ausgezeichnete Leistung. Zum Auftakt des Rennens kam Seewer auf der fünften Position aus der ersten Kurve. Bereits in der ersten Runde gelang es ihm Vlaanderen zu überholen und befand sich damit auf Position 4. Die "91" zeigte einen guten Speed und einen spannenden Kampf um Platz drei mit Teamkollege Coldenhoff.
In Runde 13, gelang ihm dann das Überholmanöver und übernahm den 3.Platz. Er setzte seine Aufholjagd fort und übernahm ebenfalls den 2.Platz von Prado. Mit einem bemerkenswerten Tempo, schloss er auf den Führenden Febvre auf. Trotz eines aufregenden Versuchs, die Führung in der letzten Runde anzugreifen, reichte es dem Schweizer nicht und verpasste den Sieg um weniger als eine Sekunde. Jeremy musste sich mit einem wohlverdienten zweiten Platz begnügen.
ZWEITES RENNEN:
Im zweiten Rennen zeigte Seewer einen hervorragenden Start und sicherte sich den FOX-Holeshot und übernahm die Führung. Fünf Runden später musste er diese an Febvre abgeben. Er konnte den Speed gut mitgehen, stürzte dann leider einige Runden später und überquerte somit die schwarz-weiss karrierte Fahne auf Platz 4.
PLATZIERUNG:
Nach einer starken Runde hat Seewer seine Medaillenambitionen untermauert und ist nun Dritter in der MXGP-Meisterschaftswertung.
NÄCHSTER EVENT: Die nächste Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft findet am kommenden Wochenende im belgischen Lommel statt - eine Strecke, die nur 15 Kilometer vom niederländischen Hauptsitz des Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Teams entfernt ist.
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Ich fühle mich gut. Meine körperliche Verfassung ist gut, meine Starts sind gut, und mein Tempo ist gut. Ich bin ein wenig frustriert, dass ich Dritter geworden bin, denn ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich das Zeug dazu hatte, um den GP-Sieg zu kämpfen. Aber ich habe einen Fehler gemacht und das war mein eigener Fehler. Ich bin zufrieden damit, wie ich gefahren bin, besonders im ersten Rennen. Ich weiß, dass ich das nötige Zeug habe, um weiter um den Sieg zu kämpfen, also freue ich mich auf weitere starke Leistungen in den kommenden Rennen."

Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider showed an impressive performance at the 12th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Loket, Czech Republic. With the 2nd place from the first race and the third place from the second race, Jeremy secured the 3rd place overall.
RACE ONE: Seewer battled the hot, dry and slippery conditions on the steep mountain track of Loket and showed an excellent performance. To start the race, Seewer came out of the first corner in fifth position. Already in the first lap he managed to overtake Vlaanderens and found himself in position 4. The "91" showed a good speed and an exciting fight for third place with teammate Coldenhoff.
In lap 13, he succeeded in the overtaking maneuver and took over the 3rd place. He continued to catch up and also took over 2nd place from Prado. With a remarkable pace, he caught up with the leader Febvre. Despite an exciting attempt to attack the lead on the last lap, it was not enough for the Swiss and he missed the victory by less than a second. Jeremy had to settle for a well-deserved second place.
RACE TWO: In the second race, Seewer showed an excellent start and secured the FOX holeshot and took the lead. Five laps later he had to relinquish it to Febvre. He was able to keep up the speed well, then unfortunately crashed a few laps later and thus crossed the black and white checkered flag in 4th place.
STANDINGS:
After a strong round, Seewer has underlined his medal ambitions and is now third in the MXGP championship standings.
NEXT EVENT: The next round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place next weekend in Lommel, Belgium - a track just 15 kilometers from the Dutch headquarters of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team.
AFTER RACE TALK: "I feel good. My physical condition is good, my starts are good and my pace is good. I'm a little frustrated that I finished third because I felt I had what it took to fight for the GP win. But I made a mistake and it was my own fault. I'm happy with how I drove, especially in the first race. I know I have what it takes to keep fighting for the win, so I'm looking forward to more strong performances in the coming races."
