Race Report - MXGP of Finland, Hyvinkää
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team feiert historischen Podiumserfolg in Finnland.
Das Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team feierte seinen erfolgreichsten Grand Prix aller Zeiten.
Bei der 16. Runde der FIM Motocross Weltmeisterschaft in Hyvinkää, Finnland, fuhren alle drei Yamaha Factory Piloten, Seewer, Renaux und Coldenhoff auf das Podium. Heisse Temperaturen machten den MXGP von Finnland zu einem ultimativen Test für Mensch und Maschine. Die ohnehin schon schwierige Sandstrecke und die Hitze sorgten für schwierigste Bedingungen.
ERSTES RENNEN:
Seewer konnte an 4. Stelle einen Startplatz aussuchen, durch ein optimales Qualifying-Race. Jeremy legte einen super Start hin und kam auf dem 3.Platz aus der ersten Kurve. Verlor dann 2.Plätze und kämpfte sich zurück und wurde Vierter.
ZWEITES RENNEN: Auch im 2. Rennen des Tages kam Seewer auf dem 3.Platz aus der ersten Runde. Nach 14 Minuten übernahm die "91" die zweite Position von Henry Jacobi und überquerte als 2.Platzierter die Ziellinie.Mit diesen tollen Ergebnissen aus beiden Läufen, sicherte sich Seewer im Tagesklassement den 2.Platz. PLATZIERUNG: Seewer bleibt Zweiter in der MXGP Gesamtwertung mit 570 Punkten. NÄCHSTER EVENT: Das Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team wird nun 3200 Kilometer südlich in Saint Jean d'Angely, Frankreich, die vorletzte Runde bestreiten.
AFTER RACE TALK: „Ich bin zur Zeit gut in Form, alles klappt gut, auch heute auf dieser Strecke, die nicht gerade meine Lieblingsstrecke ist. Ich habe mein Ziel erreicht, zwei solide Rennen ohne große Fehler zu fahren und stand mit meinen Teamkollegen auf dem Podium. Das war genial. Zwei GPs stehen noch aus, die Saison ist noch nicht zu Ende. Ich weiß, dass ich in guter Form bin und es liegen noch einige gute Rennen auf einigen wirklich schönen Strecken vor mir. Ich freue mich darauf."
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team Celebrates Historic Podium Sweep in Finland.
The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team celebrated its most successful Grand Prix ever. At the 16th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Hyvinkää, Finland, all three Yamaha Factory riders, Seewer, Renaux and Coldenhoff finished on the podium.
Hot temperatures made the MXGP of Finland the ultimate test for man and machine, putting an extra strain on the already difficult sand track.
RACE ONE:
Seewer was able to pick a starting position in 4th place, through an optimal qualifying race.
Jeremy made a great start and came out of the first corner in 3rd place.
Then lost 2.places and fought his way back to finish 4th.
RACE TWO: Also in the 2nd race of the day Seewer came out of the first lap in 3rd place.
After 14 minutes, the "91" took over the position from Henry Jacobi and crossed the finish line in 2nd place. With these great results from both runs, Seewer secured 2nd place in the day's standings.
STANDINGS: Seewer remains second in the MXGP standings with 570 points.
NEXT EVENT: The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team will now head 3200 kilometers south to Saint Jean d'Angely, France for the penultimate round.
AFTER RACE TALK: "I'm in good shape at the moment, everything is going well, even today on this track, which isn't exactly my favorite. I achieved my goal of having two solid races without any big mistakes and I was on the podium with my teammates. That was brilliant. There are still two GPs to go, the season is not over yet. I know I'm in good shape and there are still some good races ahead on some really nice tracks, so I'm looking forward to it."
