Race Report - MXGP OF Charente Maritime, Jean d’Angely
Seewer sichert sich MXGP-Silbermedaille in Saint Jean d’Angely.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot hat sich bei der 17. und vorletzten Runde der Saison 2022 in Saint Jean d'Angely, Frankreich, seinen Platz als MXGP-Vizeweltmeister 2022 gesichert. Das Schweizer Talent sicherte sich damit seine fünfte Silbermedaille. Zudem lieferte die "91 " zwei tolle Läufe und wurde im Tagesklassement in Saint Jean d` Angely gesamt Zweiter.
Der MXGP of Charente Maritime begann für Seewer phänomenal. Der Schweizer fuhr die schnellste Runde des Qualifikationsrennens mit einer ganzen Sekunde Vorsprung, wurde dann nach einem Sturz Dritter, während er den frischgebackenen Weltmeister Tim Gajser um Platz zwei herausforderte.
ERSTES RENNEN: Seewers Geschwindigkeit auf der harten und glatten Strecke von Saint Jean d'Angely war atemberaubend. Die "91" zeigte einen genialen Start, er bewies seine schnelle Reaktionsfähigkeit und sicherte sich so den Holeshot. Es gelang ihm seine Führung bis zum Schluss zu halten, um einen atemberaubenden Sieg einzufahren.
ZWEITES RENNEN: Im Zweiten Rennen des Tages Startete Seewer erneut genial und kam auf der 3.Position aus der ersten Kurve. Jeremy verwöhnte die Fans mit einem spektakulären Rennen, als er auf seinem Weg vom fünften auf den zweiten Platz Manöver zeigte, die sonst niemand machte. Die "91" war einer der Hauptakteure in einem intensiven Dreikampf um den Sieg, er machte leider im entscheidenden Moment einen Fehler und wurde am Ende Dritter.
PLATZIERUNG: Seewer sicherte sich heute die MXGP-WM-Silbermedaille! (Gratulation!)

Das Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team hat ein Wochenende frei, bevor es zur letzten Runde nach Afyonkarahisar in der Türkei geht.
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Der zweite Platz heute ist ein wenig enttäuschend, denn ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich diesen GP hätte gewinnen oder 1:1 gewinnen können, aber manchmal läuft das Rennen so, wie man es will, und manchmal nicht. Ich hatte ein starkes Rennen im ersten Durchgang, und auch im zweiten Lauf war ich stark.
Es war einfach schwer, zu überholen da, Tim Gajser ist einfach sehr clever gefahren ist. Zum Ende des Rennens habe ich eine schlechte Linie gewählt und er hat mich erwischt. Ich fühle mich im Moment wirklich gut, und ich bin froh, dass ich dieses Jahr als Zweiter abschließen kann, nachdem ich zu Beginn der Saison ein paar harte Rennen hatte. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit, wo ich jetzt stehe. Ich freue mich auf die Türkei und auch auf das Motocross of Nations."
Seewer Secures MXGP Silver Medal in Saint Jean d’Angely.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider has secured his place as 2022 MXGP runner-up at the 17th and penultimate round of the 2022 season in Saint Jean d'Angely, France. The Swiss talent thus secured his fifth silver medal. In addition, the "91 " delivered two great runs and was second overall in the daily classification in Saint Jean d` Angely.
The MXGP of Charente Maritime got off to a phenomenal start for Seewer. The Swiss rider set the fastest lap of the qualifying race by a full second, then finished third after a crash while challenging newly crowned World Champion Tim Gajser for second place.
RACE ONE:
Seewer's speed on the hard and slippery Saint Jean d'Angely track was breathtaking. The "91" started brilliantly, proving his quick reaction time to secure the holeshot. He managed to hold his lead until the end to take a breathtaking victory.
RACE TWO: In the second race of the day Seewer again started brilliantly and came out of the first corner in 3rd position. Jeremy treated the fans to a spectacular race as he showed maneuvers that no one else did on his way from fifth to second place. The "91" was one of the main players in an intense three-way battle for victory, but unfortunately made a mistake at the crucial moment and ended up third.
STANDINGS: Seewer secured the MXGP World Championship silver medal today! (Congratulations!)
NEXT EVENT: The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team has a weekend off before heading to Afyonkarahisar in Turkey for the final round.
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Second place today is a little disappointing because I felt like I could have won this GP or gone 1-1, but sometimes the race goes the way you want it to and sometimes it doesn't. I had a strong race in the first heat, and I was strong in the second heat as well.
It was just hard to overtake because, Tim Gajserist just drove very smart. Towards the end of the race I chose a bad line and he caught me. I feel really good at the moment, and I'm happy to finish second this year after having some tough races at the beginning of the season. I'm very happy with where I am now. I'm looking forward to Turkey and also the Motocross of Nations."
