Seewer holt neuntes Podium und Yamaha holt Hersteller-Weltmeistertitel in der Türkei
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot sicherte sich bei der 18. und letzten Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft in Afyonkarahisar, Türkei, seinen neunten Podiumsplatz. Jeremy, der sich vor zwei Wochen in Frankreich die Silbermedaille sicherte, genoss die letzte Runde von 2022 und wurde Zweiter der Gesamtwertung. Dank der Bemühungen des gesamten Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Teams, Renaux, Seewer, Coldenhoff sowie Calvin Vlaanderen von Gebben van Venrooy Yamaha, gewann Yamaha zum ersten Mal seit 2015 die Hersteller-Weltmeisterschaft. Seewer konnte sich als 3.Platzierter aus dem Qualifying Race einen geeigneten Startplatz aussuchen.
ERSTES RENNEN: Beim ersten Rennen des Tages,
startete Seewer unglaublich und kam auf der 1.Position aus der 1.Kurve. Die "91" zeigte eine unglaublich starke Leistung und überquerte die Ziellinie auf dem 2.Platz.
ZWEITES RENNEN: Für das letzte Rennen der Saison 2022 startet Seewer auf dem 7.Platz. Bis zur 16.Runde, kämpfte er sich auf den 3.Platz vor und beendete das Rennen auf diesem Platz.

In dieser Saison erlebte Yamaha seine bisher beste Saison in der MXGP. Das Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team feierte sieben Pole Positions, 14 Rennsiege und 22 Podiumsplatzierungen, davon fünf Grand Prix Siege. Damit holte Yamaha zum ersten Mal seit 2015 die Hersteller-Weltmeisterschaft und den dritten Titel in der "MXGP-Ära".
AFTER RACE TALK:
"Ich bin zufrieden mit diesem Wochenende. Es war solide, zumal ich auf dieser Strecke in den vergangenen Jahren Probleme hatte. Ich hatte hier sogar meinen Tiefpunkt, aber wir haben es dieses Jahr geschafft, und ich hatte das ganze Wochenende die Pace, um zu gewinnen. Der Start im zweiten Durchgang hat mich die Chance auf die Gesamtwertung gekostet, aber ich muss zufrieden sein, wie ich mit gutem Speed nach hinten gekommen bin. Jetzt ist es Zeit, sich nach dem Motocross of Nations etwas auszuruhen. Ich möchte mich bei allen Leuten um mich herum bedanken, bei meinem Team, meiner Familie und allen, mit denen ich zusammenarbeite. Es gibt eine Menge Arbeit hinter den Kulissen, die niemand sieht, deshalb war es schön, das Rennen mit einem guten Ergebnis abzuschließen.“
Seewer Nails Ninth Podium As Yamaha Clinches Manufacturer’s World Title in Turkey.
Jeremy Seewer Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider secured his ninth podium finish at the 18th and final round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. Jeremy, who secured the silver medal in France two weeks ago, enjoyed the final round of 2022 to finish second overall at 2-4. Thanks to the efforts of the entire Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team, Renaux, Seewer, Coldenhoff as well as Calvin Vlaanderen of Gebben van Venrooy Yamaha, Yamaha won the Manufacturers' World Championship for the first time since 2015.
Seewer was able to choose a suitable starting place as 3rd place finisher from the qualifying race.
RACE ONE:
In the first race of the day,
Seewer started incredibly and came out of the 1st corner in 1st position. The "91" showed an incredibly strong performance and crossed the finish line in 2nd place.
RACE TWO: For the last race of the 2022 season, Seewer will start in 7th place. Until the 16th lap, he fought his way up to 3rd place and finished the race in this position.
STANDINGS: Congratulations vice world champion
This season Yamaha experienced its best season ever in MXGP. The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team celebrated seven pole positions, 14 race wins and 22 podium finishes, including five Grand Prix victories. This meant that Yamaha won the Manufacturers' World Championship for the first time since 2015 and the third title in the "MXGP era".
AFTER RACE TALK:
"I'm happy with this weekend. It was solid, especially since I've had problems on this track in previous years. I even had my lowest point here, but we did it this year and I had the pace all weekend to win. The start in the second heat cost me the chance of the overall, but I have to be happy with how I got to the back with good speed. Now it's time to get some rest after the Motocross of Nations. I want to thank all the people around me, my team, my family and everyone I work with. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes that no one sees, so it was nice to finish the race with a good result.“
